Ramos Gin Fizz Recipe

A perfect warm-weather drink, the Ramos Gin Fizz was invented and made famous by the Roosevelt Hotel in New Orleans, reborn by Waldorf=Astoria after Hurricane Katrina. Creamy and tall like a melted pina colada, but with a tangy lemon-lime kick, it's a great summer drink.

Prep Time: 5 hours

Total Time: 5 hours

  • 2 oz gin (Old Tom if you can find it)
  • 1 oz heavy cream
  • 1 egg white
  • ½ oz lemon juice
  • ½ oz lime juice
  • 2 teaspoons sugar
  • 3 drops orange flower water
  • Club soda, to top

Shake with cracked ice for at least a minute, and strain into a chilled rocks glass. Top with just a bit of club soda.
