I Hope You're Not a Cuddler
"Turned up late in the night and was given a room with one bed -- not good for two blokes. Moved after a brief discussion to a part of the hotel that also housed a skanky cat and its even skankier litter. Went to bar to receive cold beer in a plastic cup and view very small pool. Food in restaurant was very basic and had a lot of fish that the chef could not tell you what type, just a hand gesture and a statement of 'is fish.'" -Teddybear (Majorca)

Roomless on the 4th of July
"When we arrived, they told us that they had overbooked and that we only had a room for our first night but not the other two nights we had reserved. We were 13 hours from home with two kids who were ready to begin their vacation. It was July 4th weekend, and everything was booked to capacity! Luckily they did have a cancellation and we just had to switch rooms. Our son ended up having to sleep on the floor for two nights." -Leslie (Florida)

Maybe He Can Sleep on the Floor, Too
"The hotel stuff, front desk and manager were rude and refuse to owner my reservation. I had booked a room almost two months in advance to stay during a race weekend. I reserved [a room] for two adults and a child, a non-smoking king size bed with a rollaway bed. When we got to the hotel [the clerk] at the front desk was not very welcoming and actually quite rude. She said they are out of rollaway beds so she removed that charge from the room for me. I said I'm not looking for a refund but for a bedding solution for my child, but [she] said that I did not reserve a room with a rollaway bed and that this is only a request. I asked to talk to the hotel manager who reiterated the fact that they do not guarantee a room with a rollaway bed. He refused to acknowledge the fact that I had a printed confirmation for a hotel room with the rollaway bed. He would not honor my reservation confirmation and the only solution he had was to cancel my reservation and to send me looking, at 6 p.m. on a race weekend, for another hotel room." -Eran (Indianapolis)

I Guess We're Sleeping Together, Then
"Didn't actually have a 2 twin bed room as advertised and booked. Instead we got a room with 1 Queen bed and then were switched to a room with a double bed and a pull out (hard as a rock) sofa-thing. Reception staff were clueless. Not recommended." -Carby1985 (London)
