Hotel Water Parks

A trend that started in Wisconsin in the 1990s, indoor water parks at hotels is a growing trend, spreading throughout the U.S., Canada and the world. Hotel water parks focus on family fun, with some more adventurous parks adding white water rafting and surfing experiences to the mix.

Schlitterbahn Galveston Island Waterpark
Galveston Island, Texas
Features Wasserfest, a 70,000 square foot indoor/outdoor water park with a retractable roof. Moody Gardens Hotel Is right next door. The water park features seven water slides, smaller slides for little kids and a Tidal Wave river. The new Surfenburg area adds sixteen more attractions including two uphill water coasters, a wave pool and a surf simulator.

At the time of its opening in early 2006, Nebraska's only indoor water park. Four thousand square foot indoor water park with four 30-foot water slides, two swimming pools, water cannons and fountains.
