I would definitely recommend skipping the buffet lunch the day you decide on dinner at Nobhill Tavern. You'll need room for at least a few of the tempting choices on the menu, including the popular Maine Lobster Pot Pie, the Truffle Mac & Cheese (worth a visit just for that one), and the amazing Seafood Cioppino (with crispy, buttery salmon and other seafood cooked individually, then assembled into the soup). The surroundings are chic and casual, with mellow classic rock playing low; it's a good, laid-back date place that will nonetheless impress.

Jo?l Robuchon's eponymous French restaurant was my choice for the following night. This is the first fine dining restaurant Jo?l Robuchon has opened in the United States, and it has already earned unique honors: it's the first and only 3 Star Michelin Guide winner in Las Vegas, and it has earned the Mobil 5 Star award. When I was seated at a corner booth in the small but ornate dining room, I couldn't help but feel like I was dining again at Le Dali restaurant at Le Meurice in Paris.
