70 Park Avenue

Charming and stylish boutique hotel in the posh Murray Hill section of Midtown. Formerly the Doral Park Avenue, the first Kimpton-owned hotel opened in July 2004 at the corner of Park Avenue and 38th Street. The warm, earth-toned lobby features a soaring 14-foot limestone and sandstone fireplace.

Guest rooms and suites were designed by Jeffrey Bilhuber, whose clients include David Bowie, Anna Wintour, Peter Jennings and Hubert de Givenchy. Rooms include 42" flat screen TV, wireless Internet access and KioPhone video phones with 12" touchscreens and keyboards. Guest rooms are small and bathrooms are smaller.

Owner Kimpton Hotels (of Hotel Monaco fame) is a pet-friendly chain, and this location accepts pets as well.
