What's Special About Embassy Suites:
The only upscale all-suites hotel located on the waterfront in Lower Manhattan. Originally opened in 2000, this was the first Embassy Suites in Manhattan. The hotel played a part in the World Trade Center distaster, first as a triage site and then as a resting place for recovery workers. After a massive cleanup, the hotel reopened to guests in May of 2002.
