Nickelodeon Hotel

Nickelodeon Hotel
The first-ever Nickelodeon hotel in the world will delight kids with their own separate kid suites decorated with favorite characters like Spongebob Squarepants and Jimmy Neutron. Outside two amazing water parks, character breakfasts, activities and a 3,000 square foot arcade will keep the whole family entertained. Take a photo tour of Nickelodeon Hotel

Nickelodeon Hotel: Entertainment

"It's like Spring Break for tweens," my husband observed. Indeed, with characters, activities and shows designed to appeal to Nickelodeon's target audience of 5 to 15 year olds, the colorful (orange and lime green) Nickelodeon hotel hits its mark. Even my preschooler forgot about the nearby theme parks the moment he saw the swimming pools. A buffet full of kid fare and a kids' spa add to the hotel's appeal. Or, in the words of a boy just outside our guest room window, "Hey! He-e-eye! I'm in Nickelodeon!"

Nickelodeon Hotel: Guest Rooms and Kidsuites

Two- and three-bedroom suites with separate, Nick-themed kids' rooms furnished with bunk beds and video games. Two-bedroom suites sleep up to seven people (all share one bathroom) and have mini-kitchens; three-bedroom suites have full kitchens and two baths.

Nickelodeon Hotel: Insider Tips

  • A free shuttle to Universal Orlando leaves twice in the morning and at night; a taxi ride is about $25. Allow about 30 minutes by shuttle, and about 15 minutes by taxi.
  • A separate hourly shuttle takes guests to and from Walt Disney World.
  • Cereal, tuna fish, Lunchables and other quick meals are available for purchase in the Mall.
  • If you have a car, several affordable restaurants and shops are nearby on International Drive. Ask at Guest Services for coupons.

Completely Disappointed, Member bostonfamily

We decided to stay at the Nick Hotel after my daughter saw the pics of the hotel lobby, pool, and the theme charater bedroom. So, we decided to book a 5 days, 4 night vacation at the Nick Hotel through hotwire. We booked at 2 bedroom suite rooms assuming that ALL kids bedroom were THEME character rooms. Well, were we surprised when we got to the hotel. The lobby was small but is was very cool with all the nick characters in the lobby and made you feel like you made the right choice in picking a hotel when your child is super excited about the look of the hotel lobby. So, we were expecting our suite must be great! Well, we were wrong to assume. When we checked in, we were told that there was a 125 dollar resort fee when our room was already paid for but I paid the resort fee. We were told that our room would be by the Oasis pool and when we open the door to our room we were all completely dumbfounded!!! First of all, our two bedroom suite DID NOT come with a theme character room. Did they know that they disappointed a 6 year old child!! Then to top it off, the room was dingy (cigarette burns in the kitchenette sink), the cable reception was not great, and a hole in the bathroom door. I called the front desk, and the customer service person informs me since that I booked through a third party (Hotwire), we get a room that does not have a theme room which is complete opposite of what their website states. So, we changed rooms after I paid another 125 dollars to upgrade to a theme room. After moving to the second room, we find a hole in the shelving unit in the child room. Well, after what we went through with the Nick Hotel, we would have been better off staying at the Holiday Inn down the street.
