Guest Review of the Nickelodeon Hotel by Brian

From Brian: This is probably the worst hotel I have experienced on my many family trips to Florida. The first indication that the Nick Hotel was not as family oriented as advertised was at check in.
I was informed that the "free" transportation to the various theme parks would cost $20 dollars a day regardless if I used it or not. Next I was informed that the hotel does offer discount tickets to the theme parks in exchange for a two hour time share tour. My kids would love to sit through a sales pitch while on vacation. :):)

The food court consists of three express versions of fast food restaurants so they only have limited menus. The only real eatery is the Nicktoons cafe and it is completely unreasonable. A steak is $30 dollars and the menu is a la carte. This is not "family" oriented.

The hotel does have a buffet style cafeteria but we were informed that this did not serve dinner any more because the hotel wanted people to eat at the Nicktoons cafe.

The two pools are fun when they are open. But the lines to use the water slides are ridiculously long. Also, we had afternoon showers each day and the pool would close for safety. Unfortunately they never seemed to reopen. This forces you to use the hotels other activities all of which they charge for.

We did use the bus service to the parks. The schedules to Universal, Wet and Wild and Sea world are very limited and full. You have to sign up for them the night before and usually there is standing room only.

For $337 a night during the week and $403 a night on the weekend I expected much more. We will never stay here again. For this kind of money I would expect much more on the service and accommodations end.
