Palm Springs was in the holiday spirit last week. And I was lucky enough to be visiting during the California desert town's annual Walking Tour of Inns, held in the beginning of December every year. Come along on a slideshow tour. And if you're in Palm Springs this season, make a point to stroll the streets after dark to admire the hotels in their holiday finery.
A classic example of mid-century modern design, The Chase Hotel is decorated for the holidays. Most of the 26 rooms here have kitchettes and dining areas, in addition to the spectacular views of the San Jacinto mountains.
