Originally built in 1965, the La Costa Resort underwent a recent multi-million dollar renovation that restored the lobby and remodeled all the guest rooms. New facilities were also added, including a full-service spa, clubhouse with a state-of-the-art fitness center, two new restaurants, and a ballroom.
During my visit, the resort was enjoying the typical weather the region is famous for: sunny and breezy, with highs in the upper 60s. The flowers were blooming in a burst of color that seemed to celebrate the eternal springtime they were enjoying.
