What's Special About Jefferson Hotel:

Stately hotel four blocks from the White House is a favorite among lawyers, but caters to families with children as well. Editors Note: Since this review, the hotel has become part of the Kor Hotels Group, and amenities and services may have changed.

  • Rooms are individually furnished, some with antiques. The décor is distinguished and cultivated with four-poster beds, marble bathrooms and gilded mirrors.
  • Rooms include minibars, VCR and DVD players, in-room safe large enough for a laptop computer, iron and ironing board, hairdryer, desk and sitting area.
  • Most rooms are in the main building, with some in the adjoining townhouse (accessable by an elevator just past the lounge).
