What I Did:
Turret Inn Long Beach Ca Historic Inn 1906. Hallway upstairs
Dream catcher room.
How I Did It:
This house is next to the house my Grandmother lived in and that is why I stayed there. Upon entering the house, I noticed a very strange creeping feeling. I was alone at the time. The innkeepers live next door.
When I woke up the next morning, I left my bed unmade and towel on the sink after shaving. I stepped out of the room and noticed a middle aged lady standing in the hallway somewhat behind a closet door that had linen stored in it. I turned to lock my door and then started walking toward the exit way. Thinking she was standing behind the door, I yelled "Excuse me, I'm coming through," so I would not run into her. I looked behind the door and there was no one there, so I tried to close the closet door, but it would not close. I tried three more times to close the door with no luck, it just kept coming back open.
I then got a scary feeling. I looked across the hallway and noticed another room door was open. I yelled in the room and asked if anyone was there. No answer.
Later that day, I returned to the inn and went to my room. Someone had made my bed in a sloppy manner and took the towel off the sink and put it on the tub. I went downstairs and the innkeeper had just returned from the store. I ask him if he made up my bed. He said yes, I then ask if he was sure it was not the Ghost. He said there was no Ghosts there. I ask myself later why would the innkeeper make up my bed so sloppy, and why would he not take the dirty towel and replace it with a clean one. It was more like a upset mom picking up after a kid. Which would explain the middle aged lady I seen in the hall.
My sister lived in this house in the sixties and told me back then she had a creepy feeling about this house. Before I left, I read the guest book, someone wrote that they had a nice stay and they were sorry about the problem they were having with the ghost. I then knew I was not seeing things, I think the innkeepers did not want me to be scared. I prayed over this house and then felt a peace come over it.
- I always believed in Ghosts, even the Bible has some ghost stories. I think this lady is a wandering spirit who is somehow still trapped in this house. My sister reminded me that a lady and her child died in the room I was in. It is called the Dream catcher room. Don't be scared to stay there, I believe this is no doubt a friendly Ghost.
